Las Vegas Gambling Tips: Video Keno – Part Eight (Continued)

On The Town With Vegas Vic
By: Victor H. Royer

Welcome to Las Vegas! My name is Victor H. Royer, but everyone just calls me Vegas Vic. I was named after that famous neon sign in Downtown Las Vegas, that cowboy with the hat on top of the Pioneer Club, always waving his hand and beckoning to his long love, Sassy Sally, on the other side of the street. I will be writing a few articles for AccessVegas.com, so I hope you enjoy them.

Video Keno – Part Eight (Continued)

To avoid any such problems or confusion, and to save yourself from many such problems, all you have to do is to remember to treat all four cards as one game, and each time you want to make any changes to any cards, simply go to the main four-card menu by touching the “Switch” icon, the make all four wagers again, and then make whatever number changes you want on any of the cards, and you can go back to playing through the re-bet button or icon for as long as you want, until the next time you want to change something. It’s really easy to do, as long as you realize that the machine will only know what you want it to do if you know what to do in the first place.

Later, as you become more able to master these multi-card games, you will come to realize that you can also make different sized wagers on each of the individual cards, similarly so to the split-rates tickets we discussed in Lounge Keno. Many of the newest multi-card Video Keno games have 20 cards, each identified with a letter just like Four Card Keno, and on these it may be possible to vary your wagers on specific number combinations. As for myself, in Four Card Keno I always play maximum coins for all four cards, and only reduce my wagers to no less than 2 coins per card if I am playing in the higher-denomination games. Nevertheless, I always play the same number of credits on all cards, and I never vary this because it is not a good idea. The advantage of this game lies solely in the ability to combine your hits on more than one card, and through the addition of other numbers as a core, and as a wheel, and often also combine these in groups of duplicates. This assures you of larger wins when you get them, as well as many more frequent wins.

So, my simplest strategy advice is — play the same credit-value on all your cards, play a core with a wheel, and set a duplicate pattern for all cards. While it is possible to make various “refinements” to this kind of multi-card keno game, it is not to your advantage to futz around with fractional wagers on different cards. It is far better to focus more on the number selection, patterns, and cores, and wheels, and duplicates, because these are the strategy keys that will help you make your powerful profits from this game. They are quite possible, as I can attest to myself, from many such great wins precisely playing this game in this manner.

For the actual charts showing all numbers and combination percentages, I refer you to my book: Powerful Profits from Keno. By using the charts in my book, you will be able to learn how to identify the better paying machines and game just by looking at the machine’s payback tables.

We will continue this discussion in the next column.
