Location. The Stratosphere Tower Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev., is poised 113 stories above Las Vegas Boulevard and within two miles of Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum and downtown Las Vegas. Home of the world's three highest thrill rides, this property is five miles from McCarran International Airport. For excursions around the city, busses, private trolleys and the Las Vegas Monorail are available for a fee.
Hotel Features. The revolving Top of the World Restaurant rises 1,000 feet in the air and serves seafood, Chateaubriand and Colorado Rack of Lamb, while Naga Sushi & Asian Bistro offers Dungeness Crab with Garlic Peppercorn Sauce, Mongolian Beef and a variety of traditional soup and noodle dishes.
Other options include Fellini's Ristorante Italiano, Lucky's Café and the Crazy Armadillo Oyster Bar. Conference rooms, a business center and wireless Internet access are available for a fee. Pampering treatments at the Roni Josef Salon Spa include the Desert Stone Massage, Aroma Body Polish and Aveda Tourmaline Radiance Facial. Guestrooms. The 2,444 guestrooms and suites feature light-wood furnishings, custom entertainment armoires and décor in russet, gold and forest green. Each includes satellite television and wireless Internet access for a fee. Select rooms feature marble entrances, wet bars, desks and desk-to-ceiling windows with views of the Strip. Select suites include separate sitting areas, bedrooms, powder rooms and kitchens. Select bathrooms contain spa tubs and separate showers.
Expert Tip. The hotel's thrill ride, The Big Shot, launches guests 160 feet in 2.5 seconds, manufacturing four G-forces on the way up and one negative G-force on the way down.
